The John A. Logan Literacy Program

is a program supported by the State Library a Division of the Secretary of State’s Office, with funds provided for Literacy. The Adult Volunteer Literacy Program provides Free Tutoring for Adults ages 17 to 80+, that are not enrolled in school if you or someone you know is needing help in the areas of Reading, Writing, Math, GED preparation, or English as a Second Language.

Volunteer tutors assist adult learners with reading, writing, math, GED preparation, and English as a Second Language. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of two to four hours per week for 6 months, which is scheduled according to the Volunteers’ availability. Anyone interested in Tutoring for the Adult Volunteer Literacy Program needs to contact the Literacy Counselor.
