Friends of Sallie Logan Public Library
Just $5 a Year to Join
The Friends of the Sallie Logan Public Library are people like you! They are dedicated individuals who value a strong and growing library.
Friends membership is only $5 per year.
The Friends organize events to raise funds for library programs and materials. The largest fundraiser is the annual silent auction held on the first Monday in December. Friends also coordinate several book sales throughout the year.
Proceeds from Friends events have been used to provide access to several online databases, large print materials, and the children’s summer reading program.
Being a “Friend” does involve hard work and dedication but the Friends also certainly do know how to make things entertaining!
What We do
Silent Auction
Held in November/December, the Silent Auction is one of our biggest fundraisers. We feature handmade items from local artisans, gifts cards to local businesses, and many fun themed baskets which are sold through a silent bidding process. On closing night we hold a potluck to announce the winners.
Book Sales
We hold several book sales throughout the year. We receive book donations from the community so we always have a wide variety of genres and subjects to choose from. There are volunteer opportunities to help sort and organize the books before the sales as well as being a cashier during the sales.
Trivia Night
One of the Friends' most entertaining fundraisers!
Teams compete to show off their smarts and to win prizes. Refreshment sales also help to raise money for the many things the Friends do for the library.
We are always looking for new, fresh ideas to raise money for the library. Join us! You may have just the approach we're looking for!
